Alternating single-lane traffic will be in effect weekdays starting tomorrow on part of Eighth Avenue/Route 837 in Homestead and nearby Whitaker Way in Munhall for separate repair and resurfacing projects.
Work will take place on Eighth Avenue from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. from the Rankin Bridge to Neel Street. Work will take place on Whitaker Way from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Eighth Avenue to Mifflin Street.
Lindy Paving Inc. of New Castle will make the improvements as part of a $3.6 million contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
