West Homestead -- The Bulgarian Cultural Center, 449-451 W. Eighth Ave., will kick off its 88th season of the vecherinka, a Balkan dance party, at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Free dance lessons are offered at 7:30 p.m. Bulgarian foods and beverages will be available. For more, call 412-461-6188.

West Homestead -- Bulgarian Cultural Center, 449/451 W. Eighth Ave., begins its 10th season of Soup Sega! on Saturday, offering 14 varieties of gourmet Bulgarian soups. Eleven of the soups are vegetarian. Soups and other food are available from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
